By James HargreavesThe pipe flanges that support the flanges on your pipes are often very weak.
When they become brittle, the pipes become very hot and can easily catch fire, or even explode.
If your pipes catch fire or explode, you will not be able to control the flames.
Here are some tips to prevent pipes from catching fire and cracking:Never allow a flanged pipe to come in contact with a metal pipe or fittings.
Pipes that are over 6mm in diameter are likely to catch fire in this scenario.
Never allow a pipe to touch a metal hose, fittings or pipe wall.
Pipe flanges and fittings should be replaced when they become weak or brittle.
